I understand that Interfase Plus contains EDTA which binds iron? and is recommended in the gut protocol. But I’m finding that most of my clients who test positive for gut pathogens also have compromised mineral status, especially ferritin. I want to be giving them iron, yet the guidelines are to bind it?
Additionally, what about giving vitamin mineral supplements in general during a bowel cleanse – am I just making the pathogens healthier and so should hold off?
Then again, I also do nutrient testing and these people are functionally deficient in many key nutrients. Conundrum?

        Lorraine,
The pathogens are going to get nutrients from the food we eat too. We have to eat and it doesn’t make sense to starve the body of nutrients.

You can use Interfase which doesn’t have EDTA.
