      clarification question.
      E. histolytica invades the entrocyte of the intestinal wall to the nervous system or is it the enteroplexis of the digestive system? (#17)

        Sorry about the delay in responding. Just now getting these notices of previous posts.

        E. histolytica can invade the enteroplexus of the GI system, but it can go system throughout the body can create abcess formation elsewhere including the brain. What I don’t know is if it can travel through the Vagus Nerve into the brain. If so, that’s a scary thought.

        I am thinking it can gain access to the bloodstream and then breaches the blood brain barrier.
