      Hi Doctor Kurt,

What imagining or testing is done to see the integrity of the ileocecal valve? In your module you state that SIBO can cause it to be damaged.

        Margaret,
From what I could find it looks like CT scan imaging is what is used fairly often. This particular paper discusses CT findings being correlated with endoscopic and surgical findings. What they are often looking for though are masses around the ileocecal valve – http://pubs.rsna.org/doi/full/10.1148/rg.274065164

Here is another paper using Barium x-ray imaging which seems another good option – http://pubs.rsna.org/doi/full/10.1148/radiol.2271020396

        Dr. Woeller
