      Quick question, Dr. Woeller, if it isn’t too late.

      You mentioned in one webinar that long term NAC supplementation could be problematic, but nothing else was mentioned about it. I have liked the idea with gastritis and generally poor digestive health to consider bone broth plus 500 or 600 mg of NAC, which may slowly support improved gastric mucosa and promote increased glutathione levels. Could you add a little why longer term NAC supplementation is problematic and what a safe time limit is considered to be?

        Carolyn,
        NAC, along with other sulfur-based supplements, i.e. MSM, glucosame sulfate have been known to aggravate individuals with candida overgrowth. I mostly see behavior yeast issues in autism kids, but the potential is there for others. I wouldn’t say it is a common problem, but worth noting.
