There seem to be several biome tests that can be used on stool, saliva, etc. In addition, it seems like it would be helpful to have bacteria testing of the gut, but that seems very invasive. Perhaps stool testing is the next best thing? Can you please reply here and/or discuss after the next online lecture as to what the state of the art is in biome and gut bacteria testing? The Great Plains stool test is one test I’ve used, but I wonder what recommendations you might have?

        Mark,
I use the Great Plains test too

I met an individual about a month ago working for a research lab doing genomic analysis for the microbiome. Their goal was to be able to genetically identify a wide variety of bacteria in the gut, and then hopefully determine how those bacteria relate to various toxins that get produced. It sounded like an interesting test once developed.
