I may have missed the information in your lecture, but why Pyridoxine HCL versus P-5-P when dosing for high oxalates?

Katey,
Most of the research on primary hyperoxalurias has been established for Pyridoxine HCL. Also, biochemically, its likely P5P gets reconverted back into pyridoxine HCL in the digestive system.

Finally, and my knowledge of it at this point is limited, is that some of the mutations involved in hyperoxalurias are not supported enzymatically by P5P.
